My Dream Relived (Part I)

You came to me in a dream,
it seemed like the perfect thing,
it must have been Heaven sent,
total strangers to lovers we went.

I asked you to come with me to a birthday,
you said that you'd have to see,
we exclaimed our love for the sunset,
then you kissed me.

After that moment passed,
you said it could never be,
you started to run,
but I caught you by the sleeve.

I asked you why you ran,
you asked me why I didn't want you to go,
I paused trying to choose my words,
all I could do was tell you "I love you!"

At that moment you hugged me,
you said you loved me too,
we gazed into each others eyes,
yet I still do not know who.
